A serene family campsite
Calm, welcoming and country-like
Our campsite near Azay-le-Rideau was created in 2014. Since its beginnings, it has been part of a family atmosphere, with a clear desire: to offer a calm, pleasant and reassuring place for your vacations. The campsite began as a 3-star campsite and retains a simple, accessible and authentic image.
On site, the atmosphere is based on serenity, friendly staff and the pleasure of getting together in a natural setting. In low season, the team is made up of 5 people, and in high season, 8 people are on hand to support your stay. Romuald and Laetitia are just two of the faces who contribute to this welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Accommodation to suit all tastes
Mobile homes, lodges, canvas bungalows and pitches
The campsite offers 31 mobile homes and 32 pitches. You can choose a rental according to your comfort requirements and the composition of your stay: entry-level 4-person mobile home, 4-person comfort mobile home, 4-person premium mobile home, 3-bedroom comfort mobile home for 6 people or 3-bedroom mobile home with 2 bathrooms.

Simple camping pitches
Tents, caravans, motorhomes and Loire à Vélo
Pitches are ideal for setting up your tent, caravan or motorhome in the spirit of nature camping. They are ideal for campers who like to enjoy a simple stay, close to the outdoors, while retaining access to the campsite’s services.
A shared Loire à Vélo pitch is also available, based on 1 adult with bike and tent. The campsite also offers cyclists Loire à Vélo services. After a day on the roads or trails, putting down the bike and taking a breather almost becomes an activity in its own right.

Swimming pool, restaurant and on-site services
Useful equipment to make the most of your stay
The indoor swimming pool is open from early April. It allows you to enjoy the pleasures of the water during your stay, in a relaxed, family atmosphere. The restaurant is another of the campsite’s highlights.
The restaurant operates around a popular plancha concept, with restaurant evenings and plancha tapas. You can also enjoy local ice creams from the local farm. On the grocery side, local products are on offer, including farm produce, goat’s cheese, yoghurt, wine, charcuterie, meat, bread from the bakery, spices and marinade.

Activities in a calm atmosphere
Animations, mini-farm and shared moments
At Camping Loire et Châteaux, entertainment is quiet and in keeping with the family spirit of the site. Concerts can be organized until 10pm maximum. Restaurant evenings, plancha tapas and social events allow you to enjoy the campsite without getting too lively.
Children enjoy a reassuring environment, with attention paid to their safety. The campsite welcomes families with children up to the age of 12 during the school vacations. The mini-farm, the dino mascot and the replaced bouncy castle all contribute to the happy, natural, family atmosphere.

A campsite committed to its region
Labels, nature and cycling
The campsite has been awarded a number of quality and hospitality labels, including Tourisme Handicap, Accueil Vélo, Parc Naturel Régional, Camping Qualité, Hébergement pêche, ACSI and ANWB, depending on the season. These commitments support the campsite’s identity and anchorage in a natural and tourist region.
Fishing accommodation includes a bucket for fish. The campsite is also committed to environmental awareness, with a particular focus on limiting its ecological impact. Products are not handed out as goodies on arrival: they are placed in the mobile home, in a more sober approach.

Discover the Loire Valley from the campsite
Cycling, canoeing, caves and heritage
From the campsite, you can reach Tours in 1 hour and take advantage of the Loire Valley’s many attractions: accrobranche, cycling, e-shopper rentals, museums, troglodyte caves and canoeing.
At reception, a map with explanations can help you prepare your discoveries. The long reception also allows you to take the time to discuss the possibilities around the campsite. Between heritage, nature, walks and soft activities, everyone can compose their own vacation according to their desires.

Simple, friendly vacations
A stay at your own pace
Camping Loire et Châteaux welcomes families during the school vacations, as well as childless couples, senior citizens and a foreign clientele that is more present in the low season. German, Dutch, Belgian and British holidaymakers are part of the campsite’s international atmosphere.
Many loyal customers return throughout the season, including foreign guests. Stays often last a week, sometimes 15 days, and can also be extended. Here, you can enjoy a quiet, family-friendly campsite, where vacations are lived simply, with a good dose of nature, serenity and little moments that make you want to come back again and again.
